Parquet blank

Parquet blank — a wooden semi-finished product used to manufacture a finished parquet plank.

Simply put, it is not finished parquet yet, but a prepared bar or board with the required wood species, approximate dimensions, and moisture content, which still needs further processing.

01

Processing stages

The blank is calibrated in thickness and width, profiled and cut to exact size. Then a tongue-and-groove or lock is formed and sanding is performed. If needed, toning, brushing, and final finishing with oil or lacquer are applied.

02

Quality for oak parquet

Stable moisture and correct geometry matter, with minimal defects and allowance for final finishing — to ensure predictable results in the finished parquet plank.

03

Construction differences

Solid parquet: a blank made of solid oak (this is what we produce). Engineered parquet: a top oak layer glued to plywood or another base.
